How Ethereum works, how to connect, and core protocol and ecosystem concepts.
An internet where users own data and assets and participate without gatekeepers.
What is Web3
Web3 refers to a blockchain-based internet vision: users hold assets and identity directly, and app logic runs via smart contracts instead of fully centralized servers.
Web1 was read-only; Web2 is read-write but platform-dominated; Web3 adds 'own'—your tokens, NFTs, and on-chain identity are under your control.
Ethereum is Web3's most important infrastructure, but not the only chain. Chains trade off performance, fees, and ecosystems; bridges and multichain setups are common.
Web3 still faces UX hurdles (wallets, gas, key management), regulatory uncertainty, and security incidents. Separate vision hype from shipped product capability.
For ETH 10000, the Web3 narrative underpins long-term ETH demand: more on-chain activity → more gas and settlement demand → reinforcing ETH as the ecosystem's core asset.
