Common ways to buy, earn, or bridge ETH.

How to Get ETH

Centralized exchanges (CEXs) are the most common on-ramp: KYC signup, buy ETH with fiat or stablecoins, withdraw to self-custody.

DEXs like Uniswap let you connect a wallet and swap USDC etc. for ETH without an account, but you pay gas.

Staking and DeFi yields are ways to 'earn' ETH: validators get protocol rewards; LPs and lending may yield ETH or ETH-denominated returns (with smart-contract risk).

If assets sit on other chains, bridges move them to Ethereum L1 or L2. Bridges carry contract and operational risk—review security history before large transfers.

ETFs and traditional channels offer indirect exposure for institutions and some retail users, but aren't self-custodied on-chain ETH—native ETH is still needed for gas and on-chain research.
